I have learned that I can't always guarantee the response I want from any of the people in my life. In fact, I can't guarantee any response at all. But I have to keep on giving, keep on loving, keep on reaching out to people no matter how silent it is on the other end. Otherwise we're both missing out. And I'd rather be an unquenchable, unstoppable giver than be someone who is so easily stopped by reproach or silence.
